Our main focus is breeding bearded dragons; we've been doing it since 1997, and continue to do it till this day. We started working with hornworms because our original supplier was unable to meet our needs. Now, not only are we able to feed our colony, but supply other breeders, dealers and pet owners with this amazing food item. No order to big or small!
History
We started using hornworms around the middle of 2005 to increase the variety of feeders we were offering our animals. It didn't take long before we noticed the added benefits of feeding these worms. Our animals were able to sustain and even gain weight during breeding season easier than before. They recovered faster after laying eggs and were not taxed as hard from the breeding season. Shortly after that, our supplier was unable to meet our needs and we were left to make a decision, go with out these great worms or make our own supply. After spending countless hours experimenting with raising hornworms, we finally were able to iron out all the details. Now we raise and breed all our own worms in our facility, so we are able to keep as many worms as we want on a reliable basis, we can feed our animals and have many worms to spare. Our Goal
Great Lakes Hornworm strives to produce the most nutritionally beneficial worms possible. Our main goal in providing hornworms to the reptile community is to offer a reliable and trustworthy source that you can depend on. We would not be offering hornworms to the public if we did not feel we would be a consistent, reliable supplier. We are not trying to be the largest supplier, but one of the most reputable. We want to provide you the pet owner, hobbyist, breeder, or distributor with this magnificent feeder when you want it!
