Hornworms rank up there with some of the best feeders ever. Hornworms are able to reach a size of 10g-12g in a period of as fast as two weeks, but normally three. See below for insect weight comparisons. Here at Great Lakes Hornworm, we make custom food for our worms to ensure the highest quality of nutrition goes into them and then your animals. Our custom hornworm food makes the worms have one of the HIGHEST calcium contents out of any feeder one the market: 46.4mg/100g sample. They are also low in fat, 3.07%, and have no chitin or exoskeleton so your animal has no worry of impaction. Not only do they offer top quality nutrition, but they have a few added bonuses: their bright green/turquoise color stimulates the pickiest eaters and keeps them looking for more, they are hardier than other soft bodied worm species so you will not sustain large dead loss, and last but not least, their ease of keeping and low maintenance makes them one of the easiest feeders to house.

Testimonials
Great Lakes Hornworm has the best product out there..... for any lizards, frogs,
turtles, spiders etc. They are nutritious and both appealing in smell and taste
to everything I've offered them to. They're better then the silkworms I used to
feed, easier to take care of and they last longer.
Rob is always pleasant and consistent with my orders and always makes sure you
are satisfied with his product. He talks to you if you ever have a question,
that’s more than I can say for dealers I've dealt with in the past. He's
never been late on orders and if he doesn't hear from me he'll call. That's
a good business person. My customers count on that, and so do I.
Keep up the great job Rob!!!
Sincerely Linda.

I called Rob on a whim after researching feeder insects for our new Dragon's and Geckos.
I found him to be incredibly knowledgable, helpfull, and pleasant to deal with.
Hornworms have remarkably helped the animals I care for. In fact, I feed babies a diet
of primarly hornworms and occasional crickets. They grow faster, and are hardier then
with any other diet selection.
Hornworms have also helped nurse a female dragon back from both parasites and a severe
muscle injury. Most of my adults refuse other feeders as hornworms are their prefered
meal.
Rob, YOU RULE!
Sincerely,

"Great Lakes Hornworms offer our dragons a healthy alternative to crickets &
silkworms. Their customer service is one of the best we have come across in
this market & they are always sure we are 100% satisfied. Shipping is always
top-rate & we have never been disappointed with our shipment, like we have so
many other times before, using a different supplier. Thank-you Rob, for
helping us keep our dragons healthy by offering us such a healthy/clean feeder at
a great price!"

I firmly believe that Horn Worms are THE BEST insect food source available on the market in the USA. My animals relish them far above the standard fare of crickets, hissing roaches, wax worms and mealworms. The prey size is a substantial food source that puts weight on animals quick. When used to supplement a standard insect fare it allows the animals to be conditioned in a very short period of time. Consider the size of an adult worm and the lack of undigestable parts (mealworms, roaches & crickets). They are a large and easily digested meal that is always gut loaded and accepted with vigor! If you love your animals then you should expand your animal's diet and watch them go nuts for these worms!
They are so appealing as a food item that I got one of my friends to eat one, and no, it did not taste like chicken, he said it tasted like peanuts!

Dear Great Lakes Hornworm ---
I have been able to observe the eating patterns with the use of hornworms in multiple reptile species in our own reptiles as well as with many patients. The overall palatability and prey drive associated with these hornworms has allowed excellent weight gain for reptiles recovering from medical conditions, surgery, and reproductive/parasitic stressors. I believe that they would integrate nicely into most feeding regimens and will provide needed variety, easy palatability, and even enjoyment with your reptile companions.
Sincerely,
Thomas M. Bankstahl DVM

Thanks Great Lakes Hornworm for the hornworms! My dragons go crazy over them they even jump up and snap them out of my fingers!
When my dragons are brumating hornworms are the one thing they will wake up for and gobble up before going back to snoozing. Because they are so easy for they dragons to digest and they have such a high amount of moisture its the perfect brumating snack to keep them going till its time to wake up again.

We feed a wide variety of insects to our Bearded Dragons and these Hornworms are right up there at the top of our list. Their quick growth rate and large size makes them an ideal feeder whether you have one dragon or a large group. Rob's professional packaging is an added bonus. I don't believe that anyone could make the raising and handling of these any easier.
